Why DialedIn Exists
Every morning starts the same way: weigh beans, grind, brew, taste, adjust. But without tracking what you changed, you end up dialing in the same coffee from scratch every single time. DialedIn was born from that frustration — a simple way to log what you brewed, see what worked, and never lose a great recipe again.
There are other coffee apps out there, but most are built for the 1% — competition baristas who measure TDS, calculate extraction yields, and log 30 parameters per shot. DialedIn is for the other 99%. The person who bought a good grinder, cares about making a great cup, and just wants to remember what worked.
The Philosophy
Designed for ease of use
You don't need a refractometer to make great coffee. DialedIn tracks the six things that actually move the needle — grind, dose, water, temp, time, and how it tasted. No TDS fields, no extraction yield math, no SCA flavor wheel. Just the essentials that make tomorrow's cup better.
Local-first, cloud-optional
Your brew data lives on your device — no account needed, no sign-up required. If you want cloud backup for your profile and coffee notepad, you can create a free account. But the app works fully without one.
Free means free
No feature walls, no trial periods, no in-app purchases. Every feature works for every user. If DialedIn helps you brew better coffee, that's enough. If you want to say thanks, there's a donation button.
Who Built This
DialedIn is a solo project by a software engineer who spends too much money on single-origin beans and not enough time remembering which grind setting worked. It's built with React Native and Expo, designed to feel native on both iOS and Android.
